Backpack Journalism

In the mid 1990s a new era of journalism by the name of backpack journalism was formed. It is based upon the use of video cameras, text, audio, flash and the skill to stream Live reporting from great distances. These stories generally take longer than your average story because they aren’t timely.
This particular type of journalist has to be multitasked. Usually they work alone, they are self sufficient, take their own pictures, and develop their own multimedia stories. These journalists will search the market to sell to the highest bidder after they have developed their story however they can.
In conclusion, backpack jounalism has come a long way and developed a name for itself in a short period of time. Therefore the journalism market should be well aware of this simple but taskful form of communications.
